Just before I sat down on the couch, the doorbell rang and my mailman arrived to deliver a large package. I couldn’t believe the way it was packed and how it would fit in my house. My neighbor, Sam heard me screaming and came over to give me a hand to bring it in the house. Little did I know that he secretly bought me a grill for my patio. What a generous gift! The only thing I could think to do was hug the guy.
Just before I died, the Cherokee Priest and my bartender arrived to deliver a large funeral dinner. I couldn’t believe the way it made my liver quiver. My neighbor, Chuck Norris, heard me groan and came over to give me a hand into the coffin. Little did I know that he secretly longed for my soda pop cap collection. What a day! The only thing I could think to do was shut the lid and go to sleep.
Just before I had lunch, the Buckerfields truck and my mother arrived to deliver a large garden gnome. I couldn’t believe the way it completely filled my driveway. My neighbor, the spy next door heard me exclaim and came over to give me a hand relocating the giant. Little did I know that she secretly coveted my collection. What an astute landscaper! The only thing I could think to do was share the wealth.
Weird!😁
Challenging!
Just before I drank the last drop of wine, the doorbell rang and my nosy neighbor arrived to deliver a large child with a somewhat less than guilty conscience. I couldn’t believe the way it warmed my heart to see the annoyance on one face and the smug smile on the other. My neighbor, harboring ill thoughts beyond his sneering face, heard me chuckle and came over to give me a hand strike to my left ear. Little did I know that he secretly studied martial arts. My ear throbbed. What an unwelcome surprise! The only thing I could think to do was open my door a bit wider so the handsome german shepherd beside me could take a good look. My neighbor glanced down at Birgit, threw my son between them and darted for his villa. I shut the door, threw my arms across my chest and tried to glare at my son. Instead, the sight before me brought a grin to my face. Anthony wrestled with Birgit as she smothered him with drooly kisses. I noticed chalky bluish tints in the dirty blonde fur. I turned to Anthony, “Come with me, young man. You know this can’t go unpunished.”
Anthony dropped his eyes and began to rise from the floor. I went to the fridge and grabbed a cream soda and a second bottle of wine. As I contemplated forms of punishment, Anthony slurped his soda and I sipped my merlot. We sat quietly peering out the front window, admiring the blue gargantuan smily face staring back at us from my neighbor’s newly painted door.
